日本昔話シリーズ　かぐや姫

Onece upon a time,a elder man who was reaping bamboo in a mountain, he found a shiny bamboo.

He was amazed that there was a tiny girl who was named Kaguya-Himeand in the bamboo he cut, and decided to bring up her with his wife.

He and his wife saw Kaguya-Hime  looking at moon and crying and the reason is that she has to return to moon sooner or later.

On a day with the full moon, the envoys from the moon fought against warriors of the villege, but the warrriors were defeated,so Kaguya-Hime returned to moon with the envoys.

 

1,単語　shiny 光り輝く

日本語の通りギラギラ輝く様を表します。glitterやsparkleも同じ意味で使われる。

例文）My mother loves shiny My mother loves shiny jewerlyies.

うちの母はキラキラ輝く宝石が大好きです。

2,文法　感情の表現

受け身系を使っているので『驚かされる』って訳するんじゃないの？ってまだこの文法を理解していない方は思うかもしれません。amaze という動詞は『驚かせる』という意味を持っています。自分が驚くときって誰かの力が働いてます。例えば誕生日パーティーの時などに友達が玄関で待っていてくれたとか。ここではTHe friends amazed you.友達があなたを驚かせた、という訳になります。何かの出来事や力がその人を驚かせるので、その人を主語にするとamazeが受け身の形で使われているのも理解できますね。

例文）It was amazing that my mother cooked last night.

うちの母が昨夜料理していたのはびっくりだった。

 

3,文法　see O do,doing,done

O(目的語)がした、またはされたか(受動)によって後ろの動詞の形が決まります。例えば

I saw my friend bullied by a few people.だと私は友達が何人かにいじめられているのを見た、と訳されます。doかdoingかはあなたがどれだけ見てたかによります。例えばあなたが友達が昼食を食べているのを見たとき、初めから最後までずっと見ていたら原型のdoを使います。たまたま通りかかった時にちらっとその一瞬を見たならdoingを使います。

例文）I saw my mother crying at FuyunoーSonata.

母が冬のソナタで泣いているのを見た

4,単語　envoy 使徒　使い

日常会話でも文献なんかでもあまり見かけない単語です。レアです。

例文）Japanese prime minister talked with a envoy of China today.

今日、日本の大統領が中国の使徒と話した。
