日本昔ばなしシリーズ　不思議な狛犬

One winter when it heavily snowed and people couldn’t harvest less, an elder man and his grand child who had injure visited a temple.

Wild wolves which didn’t eat enough in the winter, often went down to eat people or harvests, so the elder man wanted to protect the grand child from wild wolves which has a strong sense of smell.

This child belives that guardian dogs in front of this temple can protect, and this night as monk predicted wolves came to temple by smelling child’s blood.

Next early morning,  the monk and people were amazed at a scene that a lot of wolves died and blood was on mouth of two guardian dogs.

rain同様、動詞も名詞も用法としてあります。

前置詞としてのasの役割は１つ　〜として　だけです。接続詞としてのasには結構意味があって、今回の用法は〜通りに、と訳します。
